The four plots I'll use most and when each fits: line for trends, bar for categories, scatter for relationships, histogram for distributions.
- Pick the chart from the question: trend gives line, comparison gives bar, relationship gives scatter, distribution gives histogram.
- The number of histogram bins changes the story, so try a few.
